Home Depot in Atlanta Georgia has recalled over 1,500 Hampton Bay Dehumidifiers due to “an internal component failure, causing the dehumidifier to overheat, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers”. There have been 18 reports released claiming that the dehumidifier caught fire and one major report of a man’s forearm actually getting burned. The HB-50 humidifier is beige, has the “Hampton Bay” logo on it, and was sold at the store from 2000 to 2007. Consumers are warned to stop using the product immediately and contact the Home Depot store to receive a full refund.
